After rumors swirled late final week that Telefonica was negotiating over a possible funding to construct a fiber optic community for under-supplied areas of Germany, it now seems main insurance coverage participant is main that collaboration.
In accordance with a Reuters report quoting Spanish newspaper Enlargement, Telefonica is near an alliance with the personal fairness arm of Allianz. Collectively they hope to finance a five-billion euro funding within the infrastructure.
The report quoted unidentified monetary sources, and referred again to earlier hypothesis that Telefonica was in negotiations with banks and an “unidentified investor.”
In accordance with the report, each Telefonica and Allianz had been approached for remark with a spokesperson at Allianz not instantly obtainable, whereas the spokesperson at Telefonica declined to remark.
