In 2022, DiDi completed over 12 billion rides, more than double the number of rides we completed in 2022. We also saw a big increase in the number of orders for our food delivery service, with orders increasing by 150% compared to the previous year.
We launched a number of new features and services in 2022, including a partnership with Lyft in the United States that allowed users to book rides from either app. We also introduced a new electric scooter service in Australia, as well as an on-demand gas delivery service in China.
Finally, we continued to invest in safety, launching a number of initiatives designed to make our platform even safer for riders and drivers. These included the introduction of real-time ID checks for riders in China and Brazil and the rollout of our DiDi Shield program, which provides free insurance to riders and drivers in China.
